Cosmetic Acupuncture

Also known as facial rejuvenation acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture is best known for being “nature’s botox”. Cosmetic acupuncture helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, bringing back your natural glow and elasticity to the face.

Just like all acupuncture appointments, each appointment includes an intake. This is where we talk about the treatment plan and goals, as well as any health history updates since the last appointment. The treatment itself is a combination of a full body acupuncture treatment, with a heavier focus on facial needles, and ends with a facial gua sha treatment. 

The full body treatment is where we are able to focus on supporting the body in re-directing Qi to circulate all throughout - from face to toes. This is where we can multi-task and achieve balance within the body through a regular acupuncture treatment. The added focus with facial needles is where the cosmetic acupuncture magic works. Because we are essentially causing micro-trauma to the face, we are able to tap into collagen production, encouraging elasticity to the face and thus, softening fine lines, tightening the skin and improving the complexion and glow. The gua sha treatment also adds a spa-like element to the experience, as the jade tools help cool and massage the face muscles post-treatment.

Cosmetic acupuncture also benefits many other skin and face conditions, such as: Bell’s Palsy, acne and acne scarring, eczema and psoriasis, rosacea and jaw issues to name a few.
